It's amazing what a change of color can do for a girl

So, i have a ton of photos to share with everyone, only problem being, flicker only allows you to upload so many a month, so as soon as i get a chance ill put up a few choice ones for you all!

Had a great weekend, not enough time to do everything. Friday we went to the holy island, Lindisfarne, and it was beautiful ( their castle sucked though.... not gonna lie ), We made it the whole day with out any rain, then well, it rained when we were leaving.

Saturday we went to Edinburgh, I would live there, actually i would live here too, but i digress. It was just beautiful, we went through the royal mile, and took pictures outside of the castle ( it cost to much to get in ). There was just so much going on there, and it was an amazingly gorgeous day. We also went to the Scottish national Aquarium ( also lame, minus the underwater tunnel thing, but hey i am spoiled i live by the national aquarium)

Sunday was a beautifully lazy day, we did laundry hung around till 12 went shopping, ( by the way Melyssa bought me a new rain coat that is absolutely fabulous ) and im proud to say, im back to a more natural color, and what can i say, a change of color can do wonders for a girl. Then we continued to sit around and chat for hours.

So all in all my weekend was a sucess, Love to all

Hey, I'm sorry these are a day late, but here are photos from my birthday, the girls and i just took it real easy, then eventually went into town. You haven't met molly yet, but she actually has a home and runs around during the day. shes awfully sweet.

Today was the first day of classes, and i have to say, 6 hrs is a lot in one day, but thankfully, the rest of the days are just three hour sessions xp . we have a field trip tomorrow to Durham, and then next week to jarrow, no i can't actually tell you where and what those places are but by the end of it maybe then i can shed some light.

I have officially gotten my flat mates addicted to moonlight, and i am excited to say im seeing harry potter tomorrow night ( SUPER YAY )

so yep, thats about it for now, but i will let you all know how it goes tomorrow!

HEY everybody!!!

So today was a beautiful day ( check back for pictures tomorrow morning, I'm a little to tired right now to put them all in)

It was sunny the whole day, and beautiful weather, i went outside in short sleeves and a skirt and was completely comfortable.

It was also a pretty lazy day, me and Raiine did laundry, and then eventually went back to the square where we went to the wrong pub, then the right one, and i ordered my first drink! it was pretty good although id have to say they are a little heavy handed on their liquor here.

Over all it was a great day, the girls and i have taken to turning our common area into a movie theater at night, we just started watching moonlight ( i got them hooked ) while we ate the little cake Onella bought me ( it even had a candle in it, we couldn't light it though * tear *)

and now I'm off to bed( ill put in some more of the details tomorrow), tomorrow is the semi beginning of the program, so yeah.

Primark....

So yesterday we went on a scavenger hunt into endon square ( local shopping district in town )

Two places of note

1. Marks and spencer - a grocery and department store all rolled into one. Amazingly priced apparently ( although pasta in england comparatively speaking, super expensive, so is the sauce )

2. Primark- i can only say WOW, even converted into dollars this place is super cheap, its comparatively like one of our outlet stores that has everything and its discounted. Onella ( my other flat mate) said its like a store for college kids and its super cheap because of it... mmm deliciously cheap.(raiine at primark!!)

We might even go back there today and explore a little more since its not pouring today, its actually sunny and beautifully green, everything is super green ( see picture )

I also found out i don't have to read my 6 books i lugged from the library yesterday, that technically its all just recommended not required, and i read one of them for a little bit, but again, does anybody actually enjoy reading textbooks? ( i don't believe so )

Yesterday was a good day to come in, it wasn't raining at all, and my dorm is pretty sweet.

My roommate ( Raiine from finland ) had been here for 3 days already as a part of a requirement for her university program in finland ( they have to spend a month in an english speaking country, neat huh). The room is really nice, and its extremely interesting because here it doesn't get dark, like how we have dark at night. It never gets black, just sort of grey. Its also outrageously windy today ( i have to get a new umbrella. . . ); *tear* )

Today i had to get my university card, check out an outrageously large amount of books ( 6 )

But i have to go buy stuff i hadn't even thought about in town ( which is amazingly actually close, unlike our "in town" which a lot of times you have to drive to) The campus is huge, and goes for a couple miles, it takes over ten minutes to get to the library and laundry mat.

The people ive met so far are amazingly helpful, for instance this sweet family helped me while i waited ( 4 hours ) for my train, they helped me pull my luggage on, and showed me where to go.

I had my first official Fish and Chips from a local spot ( around the corner actually, and across from the local store ) It was interesting to say the least, the chips left something to be desired but the fish was pretty delicious.

There will probably be more later, as i have to go into town and get some essentials ( towels and such)

Less than 2 weeks

So, i have less than 2 weeks to go...
I feel like two days ago, i still had a month left sadly, not so true. Now it comes down to packing lists, connecting flights and trying to find away to turn $ into £.
I am so thankful however that my lovely sister will be lending me her rolling luggage bags ( so i don't have to go out and buy new luggage) MMMMMMMM rolling luggage. Soooooo, yes My flight leaves on the 15, in the afternoon, after that you can get a hold of me through, this blog, email, facebook, or skype, which my user name is Maljr.
